I’ve developed a bit of a reputation as a fixer. I was having lunch with my friend Guy Reid, and he said, off-handed, “have a look at this immersive film we are working on, we’re a bit stuck at the moment.”
He sent me the animatic for a 30 minute immersive piece about what astronauts experience when the go to space. The production had stalled because they couldn’t quite figure out the structure, but when I watched it and read the outline, it was obvious.
I relayed my thoughts to Guy, and he said, “of course. Can you write it?” So off I went, pulling the form together and unsticking the production.
Good thing too, because it is the first film made in 24K (normal TV is 4K) for COSM, a shared reality experience with sites across the US. The response has been terrific, it is one of their consistent hits. We were quite pleased when we received the PGA Innovation Award for it at the end of 2025.
