Some friends of mine had the tremendous good fortune to sell a TV show. The problem? None of them were directors. They called me and we got to work.
The Verdict is a show on Vice TV that reimagines the sports debate show as a documentary series. Instead of a roundtable of pundits arguing, we asked the question: how could we truly resolve this debate? What would we need to prove? What stories could we tell?
I had the great privilege to speak with some of the top sports minds in the business—Bob Costas, Chris Berman, Rich Eisen, Mary Carillo, Rodney Harrison. I needed to be absolutely on my game for every conversation. To hold my own and get the right bites took an immense amount of preparation.
