I woke up at 6 am today and went shooting with my friend Brenda. We’re doing pre-production for a joint large-format series. Today it was just us, a quiet saturday morning and our digital cameras.

My work at Weathervane Music has been going swimmingly. Lots of exciting progress. In addition to helping run the show, I get to do all the design work. This is our core literature. We have your standard postcard and web version of this, but as an experiment we decided to do a limited run of custom screened 7″ replica packages for our high end donors. The goal here was to have our information feel like it was a piece of music packaging, to remind donors of not only what we do, but the value of it. We scavenged vinyl EPs from a local thrift store and inserted them into envelopes printed by sire press. They look and feel great and have been a big hit so far.

Last few weeks have been filled to the brim with shooting the fall line up for Shaking Through. It is going to be amazing. I’ll share the photos as the sessions come out, until then, enjoy a shot from our session with Twin Sister.
With the shoots out of the way, I can get back to other cool projects. Gonna be a great summer!

I did a shoot for After School Activities Partnerships. They brought kids from their dance program to the Piazza to perform. As I was shooting, three boys from a ballroom dancing club approached me, eager to assert their masculinity. They puffed their chests and messed around. It was hilarious.

Weathervane Music Benefit – Twin Sister
